Hello to All Mushroom Lovers and Members,

The Lincoln County Mycological Society is excited to share some important updates to our membership system. Our goal is to enhance efficiency and provide a better experience for all our members. We’re moving from traditional paper record-keeping to a modern, online membership tracking and payment system.

What’s Changing?

  1. Online Membership Management: We’re using Square to make joining, renewing, and managing your membership easier and more accessible.
  2. Flexible Membership Period: Your membership will now be valid for one year from the date of payment on Square, replacing the fixed January 1st renewal date.
  3. Membership Fees:
    • Individual Membership: $10 per year.
    • Family Membership: $15 per year.

Advantages of the New System:

  • Accurate and Current Roster: This will improve our community’s connectivity and engagement.
  • Consistent and Reliable Communication: Stay informed about all our society’s news, events, and updates.
  • Supporting Our Mission: Your membership fees are vital in supporting our initiatives and fostering the love of mycology.

We believe these changes will greatly enhance your experience with the Lincoln County Mycological Society, making our community more connected and engaged.

Existing members will receive instructions on transitioning to the new system. New members can sign up through updated online system if they do not purchase a membership in person.

What’s Changing?

  1. Online Membership Management with Zeffy: Joining, renewing, and managing your membership is now easier and more accessible with Zeffy. As a low-cost nonprofit, this platform is especially beneficial for us, offering its services without any charge.
  2. Flexible Membership Period: Your membership will now be valid for one year from the date of payment, moving away from the fixed January 1st renewal date.
  3. Membership Fees:
    • Individual Membership: $10 per year.
    • Family Membership: $15 per year.

Recurring Payments and Donations: Not only does Zeffy support recurring payments for your convenience, but it also offers you the option to give additional one-time donations. This feature allows you to further contribute to our organization, should you wish to do so, supporting our ongoing projects and initiatives.

We believe these changes, including the new donation feature, will greatly enhance your experience with the Lincoln County Mycological Society, fostering a more connected and engaged community.

Existing members will receive detailed instructions on transitioning to the new Zeffy system. New members can sign up through our updated online system, and have the option of making additional donations, if they choose not to or unable to purchase a membership in person.
