Volunteers for Yachats Mushroom Festival October 17th & 18th!

There are plenty of volunteer positions open for the Yachats Mushroom Festival October 17th & 18th! Absolutely no experience or expertise required or expected, it’s a great way to learn something new and meet people.

We need help on the book and membership sales table, talk & workshop support, walk support, floaters, possible kid/youth craft table, identification and mycology-related questions table, cooking demonstration and kitchen support, and more.

What skills would you like to bring to the table, or would you like to simply get involved wherever we have the need? Please reach out if there’s even a slight interest or questions.

LCMS Shirts Hot off the Press!

New LCMS long-sleeve tee shirts should be off the press by the end of July!Four artists submitted designs, and the board voted Rena Ekmanis the winner. For her work she will receive two T-shirts, and two tickets to the Yachats Mushroom Festival keynote speaker and dinner.
Rena is a local artist that specializes in watercolor. All the mushrooms and their spore prints (which were stamped on in the original artwork) were found in her neighborhood or at Beverly Beach State Park. You can see more of her work at https://www.renatureart.com/The shirts are being printed locally, by Lincoln City Graphics (in the Scout store in the Lincoln City Outlets). We were able to support a local business, get a heavier cotton – same manufacturer and style that we had last time and get one order with two different color shirts! Cost is $32 for non-members or $28 for members and will be available in the colors Sand and Orange as above.  They will be available at the Ona Beach State Park picnic on August 8th but ONLY CASH AND CHECKS can be accepted for payment that day.  Questions, please email [email protected]
